BPAS AutoRollovers helps keep your retirement savings working for you when you leave an employer-sponsored retirement plan. If your account balance was under $7,000 and you did not take action to roll over or withdraw your funds, federal regulations may permit your employer to transfer your balance to an IRA established in your name.

If you received a notice that your retirement savings were transferred to a BPAS AutoRollovers IRA, the FAQs below explain why the transfer occurred and the options available to you.

BPAS AutoRollovers is an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) established to hold retirement plan assets that were automatically rolled over from a former employer’s retirement plan. This helps ensure your retirement savings remain tax-advantaged and continue to be available for your future retirement needs.

When an employee leaves a company and does not provide instructions for their account, federal regulations allow retirement plans to automatically transfer small account balances to IRAs. A previous employer or IRA recordkeeper partnered with BPAS to transfer your retirement plan account balance over to a BPAS AutoRollovers IRA after a specified time of inactivity.
